WASHINGTON, July 30 -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security issued the following statement by Acting Secretary Chad F. Wolf on Oregon agreeing to cooperate in quelling Portland violence:
Over the past 24 hours, Governor Brown and I have been in regular communication and have agreed to a joint plan to end the violent activity in Portland directed at federal properties and law enforcement officers.
