WASHINGTON, July 29 -- Rep. Andy Levin, D-Michigan, issued the following in response to Senate Republicans' relief package proposal:
"I simply cannot go back to my mayors, city managers, first responders and essential workers and tell them that after the House-passed HEROES Act proposed sending $1.1 billion dollars to the communities of Michigan's 9th District, Mitch McConnell's counter-offer was $0.
