WASHINGTON, July 28 -- Rep. Max Rose, D-New York, issued the following statement on Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell's proposed coronavirus relief bill which includes no direct funding for state and local governments and slashes unemployment benefits:
"This proposal is proof that Mitch McConnell wants to fire cops, first responders, teachers, and those who have been on the frontlines putting their lives on the line in the fight against COVID-19,".
