WASHINGTON, July 28 -- Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, issued the following news release:
U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) released the following statement after his legislation to authorize the Smithsonian Institution to create a museum honoring American Latinos, the National Museum of the American Latino Act, passed the House.
"Close to 40 percent of all Texans identify as Hispanic, and their history is an integral part of Texas history that must be recognized and reme . . .
