WASHINGTON, July 28 -- Sen. Deb Fischer, R-Nebraska, issued the following column:
Each year, the Senate comes together to pass the National Defense Authorization Act, the bill that authorizes funding for our military for the year to come. Our men and women in uniform deserve our utmost respect and support, and this annual legislation makes sure they have the resources they need to protect our country.
