WASHINGTON, July 27 -- Sen. Deb Fischer, R-Nebraska, issued the following statement after the Transportation Department published a toolkit as part of the Rural Opportunities to Use Transportation for Economic Success Initiative:
"Rural infrastructure is critical to keeping the Heartland and the rest of the country connected. The DoT's ROUTES Initiative provides necessary resources to help make that possible.
