WASHINGTON, July 25 -- Rep. Donna Shalala, D-Florida, issued the following news release on July 24:
Congresswoman Donna Shalala (FL-27) joined by other Members of Florida's congressional delegation, passed amendments in the U.S. House of Representatives to strengthen democracy and the rule of law within Venezuela and to prevent the crisis in that country from threatening U.S. national security.
