WASHINGTON, July 25 -- Rep. Phil Roe, R-Tennessee, ranking Republican member of the House Veterans' Affairs Committee, issued the following statement on July 24 after the House passed the omnibus appropriations bill (H.R. 7608), which would allocate an unprecedented $12.5 billion dollars in emergency funding to the Department of Veterans Affairs:
