Ranking Member Roe Issues Statement After House Passage of Omnibus Appropriations Bill

WASHINGTON, July 25 -- Rep. Phil Roe, R-Tennessee, ranking Republican member of the House Veterans' Affairs Committee, issued the following statement on July 24 after the House passed the omnibus appropriations bill (H.R. 7608), which would allocate an unprecedented $12.5 billion dollars in emergency funding to the Department of Veterans Affairs:

"It is deeply concerning that House Democrats advanced a bill today that would allocate more than 12 billion dollars in taxpayer fund . . .
