WASHINGTON, July 22 -- Rep. Andy Levin, D-Michigan, issued the following news release:
Congressman Andy Levin (D-MI), Vice Chair of the House Education & Labor Committee, released a statement demanding the Senate include an extension of unemployment benefits after failing to act on the HEROES Act, which would extend the $600 weekly emergency unemployment payments due to expire July 25 in Michigan:
"The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act . . .
