WASHINGTON, July 22 -- Rep. Jack Bergman, R-Michigan, issued the following news release:
The language from Rep. Bergman's bill, H.R. 4189, the Homeland and Cyber Threat Act, was included in the FY21 National Defense Authorization Act. This legislation will remove the immunity of foreign states--including foreign officials, employees, or agents--with regard to money damages sought by a national of the United States for personal injury, harm to reputation, or damage to or loss of prop . . .
