WASHINGTON, July 18 -- Sen. Thomas Carper, D-Delaware, issued the following news release:

U.S. Senator Tom Carper (D-Del.) joined Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), and Senators Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.), Cory Booker (D-N.J.), and Brian Schatz (D-Hawaii) yesterday to send a letter to U.S. Postmaster General Louis DeJoy requesting information on established plans and steps taken by the Postal Service to prepare for the influx of election mail caused by the coronavirus pandemic.< . . .
