BROOKLYN, New York, July 16 -- The Acting U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, Seth D. DuCharme, issued the following news release:
A 24-count indictment was unsealed yesterday in federal court in Central Islip charging eight members of the violent transnational criminal organization La Mara Salvatrucha, also known as the "MS-13," with multiple racketeering offenses in connection with six murders, two attempted murders, a kidnapping conspiracy and narcotics . . .
