NEW YORK, July 15 -- The American Civil Liberties Union, a 501(c)3 non-profit that works to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed by the Constitution and laws of the U.S., issued the following news release on July 13:
A federal district court in Tennessee issued a temporary restraining order, blocking a law signed by Gov. Bill Lee earlier that bans abortion at nearly every stage of pregnancy and for reasons related to race, gender, or fetal diagnosis.
