WASHINGTON, July 15 -- Reps. Adam Smith, D-Washington, and Mac Thornberry, R-Texas, chairman and ranking member of the House Armed Services Committee, issued the following joint statement on July 14 on the United Kingdom's decision to ban Huawei from its 5G network:
"The United Kingdom's decision to ban the procurement and deployment of additional Huawei equipment in their 5G telecommunications infrastructure, and the commitment to eliminate Huawei from their networks in the ye . . .
