HOUSTON, Texas, July 11 -- Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, issued the following news release:
U.S. Sens. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), John Cornyn (R-Texas) along with Reps. Vicente Gonzalez (D-Texas), Filemon Vela (D-Texas), and Henry Cuellar (D-Texas) sent a letter to the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) Alex Azar requesting the federal government provide additional financial support and stand up a field hospital to help respond to the COVID-19 surge in the Rio Grande Valley.
