WASHINGTON, July 10 -- Rep. Filemon Vela, D-Texas, issued the following news release:
Congressman Filemon Vela (TX-34) and Congressman Paul Mitchell (MI-10) introduced the Coast Guard Combat-Injured Tax Fairness Act. The bipartisan legislation amends the Combat-Injured Veterans Tax Fairness Act of 2016 to allow members of the Coast Guard to file claims for credit or refund for taxes improperly withheld from disability severance pay.
