FAIRFIELD, Connecticut, July 10 -- Save the Children issued the following statement by Syria Response Director Sonia Khush after hearing of the first case of COVID-19 found in North West Syria:
"The first case of COVID-19 in North West Syria is a major blow to the millions of civilians - mainly women and children - living in this area. Now more than ever, guns need to remain silent, the ceasefire needs to hold and all efforts have to be geared toward the aid and health response . . .
