WASHINGTON, July 8 -- Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Mississippi, chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, issued the following joint statement with Rep. Kathleen Rice, D-New York, chairwoman of the Border Security, Facilitation and Operations Subcommittee, on news that the Trump administration plans to bar international students from the country if their school's classes are online:
