WASHINGTON, July 7 -- House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-California, issued the following joint statement with Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, D-New York, chair of the House Democratic Caucus, and Rep. Grace Meng, D-New York, chair of the House Committee on Caucus Procedures, after the House Democratic Caucus voted to include a diversity rule in the Caucus rules that encourages members to prioritize diversity and inclusion in hiring practices:
