As coronavirus cases nationwide surge to record levels, Oregon's U.S. Senator Jeff Merkley led 15 colleagues in demanding Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell bring the House-passed Health and Economic Recovery Omnibus Emergency Solutions Act or the HEROES Act to the Senate floor before recess, saying that failing to do so would be an abdication of our most basic responsibilities.
