WASHINGTON, July 3 -- Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas, ranking Republican member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, issued the following statement:

A nationwide vote in Russia has approved constitutional changes that hand President Vladimir Putin the right to stay in power until 2036. House Foreign Affairs Committee Lead Republican Michael McCaul released the following statement on the news.
