WASHINGTON, July 2 -- Rep. K. Michael Conaway, R-Texas, ranking Republican member of the House Agriculture Committee, issued the following statement on July 1 as the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Trade Agreement entered into force:
"USMCA goes into effect today, and this is welcome news for American agricultural producers who have weathered a 6-year slump in the farm economy.
