ALBANY, New York, July 1 -- New York Attorney General Letitia James issued the following news release:
New York Attorney General Letitia James led a coalition of 19 attorneys general and one governor in fighting to have the federal government recognize the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) as the 28th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. An amendment requires ratification of three-fourths of states, and, earlier this year, a 38th state provided the final vote needed to ratify the ERA, but . . .
