WASHINGTON, June 30 -- Rep. Suzanne Bonamici, D-Oregon, issued the following statement on June 29 on the Supreme Court's decision upholding abortion rights in the case of June Medical Services LLC vs. Russo:

"I am relieved that today the Court landed on the side of reproductive choice and respect for precedent.

"This will not be the last threat to reproductive rights, but women in Louisiana and across the country can draw hope and strength from this victory.
