WASHINGTON, June 30 -- Sen. Ben Sasse, R-Nebraska, issued the following statement on June 29 after the Supreme Court struck down a Louisiana law mandating abortion clinics secure admitting privileges to close-by hospitals:
"SCOTUS got this wrong -- again. If the Court cares about preserving its legitimacy as a non-political institution, then it shouldn't make decisions based on how its judgements will be perceived politically.
