NEW YORK, June 27 -- New York Mayor Bill de Blasio issued the following news release:

Following the conclusion of an internal investigation, Mayor de Blasio announced that 17 uniform Department of Correction staff will be charged for their conduct surrounding the death of Layleen Polanco.
