WASHINGTON, June 25 -- Sen. Martin Heinrich, D-New Mexico, issued the following news release:

On Wednesday, June 24, at 2:30 p.m. ET/ 12:30 p.m. MT, U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich's (D-N.M.) legislation to prohibit the exporting of sacred Native American items and increase penalties for stealing and illegally trafficking tribal cultural patrimony will be included in a key hearing on pending legislation for the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs.
