WASHINGTON, June 25 -- Sen. John Hoeven, R-North Dakota, issued the following news release:
Senator John Hoeven spoke on the floor of the U.S. Senate to honor Sister Thomas Welder, the former president of the University of Mary, who passed away on Monday. As governor, Hoeven awarded Sister Thomas with the Rough Rider Award in 2004.
