SAN ANTONIO, Texas, June 24 -- The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities issued the following statement by President and CEO Antonio R. Flores in response to the 2020-21 state budget compromise between California Gov. Gavin Newsom and the state legislature:
"We are disheartened that the Governor and Legislature decided on a budget that deeply cuts higher education funding even more than previously proposed.
