WASHINGTON, June 23 -- The U.S. Department of Justice's Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Eric Dreiband issued the following joint statement with Matthew Schneider, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan, who are overseeing the Justice Department's effort to monitor state and local policies relating to the COVID-19 pandemic, on New York's reopening plans:
