WASHINGTON, June 19 -- Rep. Eliot L. Engel, D-New York, chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, issued the following joint statement with Rep. Nita Lowey, D-New York, chair of the House Appropriations Committee, on reports that the CEO of the U.S. Agency for Global Media, Michael Pack, fired senior officials and dissolved advisory boards of government-sponsored broadcast networks for foreign audiences:
