WASHINGTON, June 19 -- The New York Immigration Coalition issued the following news release on June 18:
In a 5-4 majority opinion the U.S. Supreme Court ruled the Trump administration's termination of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program violated the Administrative Procedure Act and was, thus, unlawful. More than 800,000 DACA recipients - and 50,000 New Yorkers - will no longer be at risk of being separated from their families, and communities.
