AUSTIN, Texas, June 19 -- Gov. Greg Abbott, R-Texas, issued the following news release:
Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Hunter Brooks as District Attorney for the 50th Judicial District in Baylor, Cottle, King and Knox Counties for a term set to expire December 31, 2020, or until his successor shall be duly elected and qualified.
Hunter Brooks of Seymour is currently an Assistant District Attorney in the Wichita County District Attorney's Office.
