WASHINGTON, June 18 -- Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas, ranking Republican member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, issued the following statement on June 17 on the Trump administration's announcement of sanctions pursuant to the Caesar Syria Civilian Protection Act, which Congress passed in December 2019:
The administration also announced new sanctions pursuant to its October 2019 Executive Order on Syria.
