AUSTIN, Texas, June 18 -- Gov. Greg Abbott, R-Texas, issued the following news release:

Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Lizeth Cuellar and Michael Slaughter, Ph.D. to the Texas School Safety Center Board for terms set to expire February 1, 2021.
