WASHINGTON, June 17 -- Rep. John B. Larson, D-Connecticut, issued the following letter on June 16:
The murder of George Floyd in broad daylight - as he pleaded for his life saying he can't breathe while a police officer held him down and choked the life out of him - has both sickened and angered me... as I know it has all of you. This is not an isolated or remote occurrence, as further punctuated by the recent murders of Breonna Taylor and Ahmaud Arbery.
