WASHINGTON, June 16 -- Rep. Brian Higgins, D-New York, issued the following news release:
Congressman Brian Higgins (NY-26) announced the award of a 5-year federal grant totaling $2,224,925 through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to University at Buffalo (UB) for the development of a method to accurately diagnose Parkinson's disease (PD) before clinical symptoms are present.
Parkinson's is a motor system disorder resulting from the loss of dopamin . . .
