HOLLY, Michigan, June 16 -- Rep. Elissa Slotkin, D-Michigan, issued the following statement on June 15 regarding the Supreme Court's 6-3 ruling that federal employment non-discrimination laws protect LGBTQ employees:
"Today's Supreme Court ruling upholds a simple and deeply American proposition: That in our country, your opportunity to contribute should depend on merit and ability, and not be limited by who you are, or how you identify. As a country, we have not always lived up . . .
