Congressional Hispanic Caucus Chairman Issues Statement on GAO Finding on Customs & Border Protection Misspending Emergency Funds

SAN ANTONIO, Texas, June 13 -- Rep. Joaquin Castro, D-Texas, chairman of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, issued the following statement on Government Accountability Office finding that the U.S. Customs and Border Protection violated the law and misspent emergency funds:
"CBP broke the law, and it's outrageous. Last summer, Congress appropriated $112 million to CBP in emergency funding to help improve conditions for migrants at the border after multiple deaths in custody.
