WASHINGTON, June 13 -- Rep. Eliot Engel, D-New York, issued the following news release:
Congressman Eliot L. Engel, Co-Dean of the New York Delegation and top Member of the Energy & Commerce Committee, helped secure $1.1 billion for New York safety-net hospitals on the frontlines of coronavirus pandemic, the second largest distribution in the country. The funding comes from the Public Health and Social Services Emergency Fund, created by the CARES Act.
