PIERRE, South Dakota, June 12 -- The South Dakota Department of Labor and Regulation issued the following news release:
During the week of May 31 through June 6, a total of 817 initial weekly claims for state unemployment benefits were processed by the Department of Labor and Regulation. This is a decrease of 681 claims from the prior week's total of 1,498.
A total of $4.9 million was paid out in state benefits, in addition to $13.1 million paid out in Federal Pandemic . . .
