NEW YORK, June 12 -- The Doctors Without Borders/Medecins Sans Frontieres issued the following news:

Following tropical storm Amanda, which hit El Salvador on May 31, the medical humanitarian organization Doctors Without Borders/Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) has launched emergency activities in some of the most affected communities in the capital, San Salvador, and built 25 shelters in San Salvador and Soyapango.
