CLEVELAND, Ohio, June 11 -- The Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis issued the following news release:

Texas oil producers burned a record $749.9 million by flaring or venting unneeded natural gas into the air, according to a report released by the Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (IEEFA).
