NEW YORK, June 10 -- The Amalgamated Transit Union issued the following news release:
After almost two weeks on strike and two days of federal mediation, ATU Local 1181-New York, NY has reached a tentative agreement with private contractor MV Transportation that covers MTA paratransit workers in Brooklyn and Staten Island, NY.
Their deal includes substantial wage increases, strong health benefits and other critical improvements for the more than 570 MTA paratransit work . . .
