COMMERCE, Texas, June 5 -- Texas A&M University's Commerce Campus Faculty Senate issued the following proclamation:
WHEREAS the senseless killing of unarmed Black people is unjust and wrong
WHEREAS these killings are symbols of a much larger, pervasive problem that is not always visually recorded for the world to see
WHEREAS the events of May 25, 2020 and the days after have brought racism to the forefront, revealing again systemic flaws in our justice . . .
