BRONX, New York, June 5 -- Rep. Eliot Engel, D-New York, issued the following statement marking the 51st LGBTQ Pride Month:
"Over the past half century, we have marked June as Pride Month in honor of the Stonewall Inn Riots, which brought the push for LGBTQ rights to the fore.
"Throughout my Congressional career I have consistently supported the LGBTQ community, from my vote against the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) in 1996 to the Equality Act, and every day . . .
