NEW YORK, June 3 -- Rep. Carolyn Maloney, D-New York, issued the following statement in recognition of Pride Month:
"I am proud to stand as an ally today, this Pride Month, and every day. As we celebrate the hard fought wins for LGBTQIA+ equality and pay tribute to those who gave up so much for acceptance and equality, we must recognize that we still have work to do.
"As a New Yorker, I am immensely proud of our City's central place in the history of the LGBTQ . . .
