WASHINGTON, June 2 -- Sen. Jack Reed, D-Rhode Island, issued the following news release:
U.S. Senators Jack Reed (D-RI) and Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) joined with U.S. Senators Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) and Tina Smith (D-MN), along with 24 colleagues, in calling on the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) to conduct an investigation into the patterns and practices of racially discriminatory and violent policing in the Minneapolis Police Department (MPD).
