WASHINGTON, June 2 -- Rep. Earl Blumenauer, D-Oregon, issued the following statement on the death of George Floyd:
"I want to extend my sincerest condolences to the family of George Floyd, and to everyone struggling with his tragic death. George Floyd's fate--being murdered in cold blood by law enforcement--is the reality for far too many black and brown people in America. No one deserves to be treated that way, and his death is a devastating reminder of the hate and prejudice . . .
