Adelphi Speaks Out Against Hatred, Racism, and Violence

GARDEN CITY, New York, June 1 -- Adelphi University issued the following statement by President Christine M. Riordan and Jacqueline Jones LaMon, vice president of diversity, equity and inclusion:

Over the past few days, the tragic death of George Floyd in Minneapolis, on the heels of other painful tragedies, has reminded us of the racism and prejudice that continues to exist in our society. It is troubling and angering to witness these recurrent incidents of violence against people . . .
